Hi,
I will be visiting Schloss neuschwanstein during the day and would like to know a good place to stay that is not too far from there, as i would like to visit schloss lindhoff the following day. Are there any good guest houses near schloss lindhoff??
Also, what is the travel time by car between the two schloss%26#39;??
Thanks

My wife and I are visiting the same locations you wish to visit, and we have booked a room at Hotel Garni Schlossblick in Schwangau, which we understand is not too far from Fussen (and Neuschwanstein %26amp; Hohenschwangau).....The reviews I%26#39;ve read on the hotel are good.
Here is a link for the hotel:

As far as the travel time to/from Neuschwanstein and Linderhof Palace, I checked out Maporama and they say it should take 52 minutes. You can check more routes at the link below:

Good luck

Linderhof is pretty much out in the woods (very beautiful woods, but still out a ways) so no place is really close by. Reutte is about 25km west, along the Plansee, and it is about 14km East to Oberammergau, and 25km or so to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Reutte is a beautiful town with some nice inns, so is Oberammergau with some very attractive painted buildings and much shopping, and Garmisch has a very large number of nice places (like the Frauendorfer).
Personally, I would do Neuschwanstein, then drive a little North on 17 to the Wieskirche for a quick look, then from there it%26#39;s just 30 minutes over to Rt23 and south to Oberammergau. Either stay there and see Linderhof and Ettal Abbey the next day, or drive the extra 10 minutes or so into Garmisch for the night.
It is only about 45km between the schloss%26#39; by road, and while part of the road is fairly fast motorway, the part of the road along the Plansee should be driven carefully. Typical fairly narrow road in the woods alongside a lake with a lot of tourists-- so takes about 45 min to an hour.
