Cologne in October?

I am trying to visit Cologne during a trip in October. However, I am finding that the hotels have no availability. Is there an event that is going on?

Nothing that lasts the whole month, just a few concerts etc.

Did you try this site: http://www.koeln.de/en/tourism/hotels.html? There are four different hotel booking systems, at least the one I tried had vacancies.

Melimcn, try www.booking.com there appears to be a few available on that website.

there is some conferance that ends on oct 1st i think.
