Please Help!! Having troubles

I do not seem to be able to find my way around the train schedules. PLEASE HELP!!! I am trying to get myself and my 13 year old son from Vienna to Munich. I would like to leave in the morning and not have to change trains. I am unable to figure out the schedule or price. I am sorry for my ignorance but I would appreciate your help.

Most trains Vienna- Munich have a change in Salzburg which should cause no problems. However, there are a some direct trains leaving from Vienna at 06.14, 08.22 and 16.22 and a night train at 23.45.

You can easily find a schedule here:

A normal fare would be around 50 Euros pp but there are discounts for people travelling together, for minors etc. Send an e-mail to the Austrian Railways and ask, you%26#39;ll find the address on the schedule site.

You can look up the trip on the Die Bahn site:

From: Wien

To: Muenchen HBF

There does not appear to be a direct train, but a single transfer in Platting or more often Salzburg. The prices vary from about 69 euros to 77 euros depending on the quality level of the train.

Regards, Gary

HI

One extra piece of advice......I have found the personnel in the Railway stations to be very helpful in mapping out train schedules for me....so if you have a problem, try asking for help at the train station info desk.
