From Frankfurt to dortmund

I checked the Bahn.de website for a trip from frankfurt to dortmund and it was so expensive . Any ideas how to book a cheap bus or train tickets.

Travelling with 300 kph has it%26#39;s price.

The Rhine Valley route is slower, cheaper and anyway much more scenic.

Use at the DB timetable %26quot;Koblenz%26quot; as a via station to enforce this route.

DB timetable

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e

From: Frankfurt

From: FRA airport (in case this is your real start point)

To: Dortmund

Via: Koblenz

Using regional trains is even cheaper. Esp. on a Sa or So where you can use the Happy-Weekend-Ticket (EUR 33,00) This ticket is valid for 1-5 persons.

Select at the DB timetable as means of transport %26quot;only local transport%26quot; to get connections by regional trains only.

The Happy-Weekend-Ticket does also cover the trams and buses in Dortmund.

%26gt; cheap bus

No buses on this route. Neither cheap nor expensive ones ;-)

Thanks for this info,

I went on the bahn.de website. I found cheap tickets as 33 euro they take 4 hours,

I have a question.

Do I need to buy online or it is available when I go.

Thanks

This is the Happy-Weekend-Ticket.

You can buy it on spot from ticket machines.

Also at the counter, but there it is EUR 2,00 more expensive.
