weeze to cologne

We travel by air to Weeze in July.

How do we get from Weeze airport to Cologne , where we will be based?

Is there trains, buses, or car hire? what do you suggest?

Either you can take a direct bus (rather infrequent) to Düsseldorf and a train from there to Cologne, or a shuttle bus to Weeze station and a local train from there to Cologne (change at Düsseldorf)

Than the train will be the better deal. You can use the SchönerTagTicket NRW (HappyDayTIcket North Rhine-Westphalia) for EUR 29,50. A mini group (2-5 persons) day ticket covering all local trains in the state North Rhine-Westphalia. Also the trams and buses in Cologne. Validity
