7-Day Transportation card at Tegel?

We are arriving at Tegel early on a Friday morning and would like to buy a 7-Day transportation card for Zones A and B. That would include all the main tourist attractions and get me from the airport to our pension close to Savignyplatz, correct?

Can you buy those passes somewhere at Tegel? If so, does anyone know where we go to get them there? We want to take public transportation from Tegel to our hotel.

The BVG webpage says: %26quot;The 7-Day Card is available from ticket counters and stationary ticket machines on the underground, however not on buses and trams.%26quot;

Thanks for your help.
