My husband %26amp; I are 60+ years old and want to take 2 rolling suitcases plus 2 other bags on public transport from Berlin to Potsdam. Would this be difficult, or -if we are somewhat physically fit- would we be able to do it?

As long as you are fit you shouldn%26#39;t have any problems as long as you have not to change lines too often. From where in Berlin do you want to travel? And where in Potsdam do you need to go? You can get to Potsdam from Berlin by S-Bahn or Regional Train and it%26#39;s easy to get on these trains with luggage.

Yes, no problem! All the S bahn sations have lifts, the platforms are flat with no jump up or down onto the train. If the trains busy just get on at the carriage with a picture of a bicycle on and there will be plenty of room for your lugage. Have a good trip, I`ll be back there myself next week - can`t wait!

Thank you to those who responded to my query. We will stay in Berlin several days, then go to Potsdam. Currently we don%26#39;t have hotel reservations, so I don%26#39;t know where we would be getting on Berlin transport.
It sounds like we could manage the suitcases %26amp; so forth if we plan to get on Berlin transport in a location which goes directly to Potsdam, not changing trains or %26#39;bahns%26#39; in the process.
I also do not know where we will stay in Potsdam, but would be willing to take a taxi from the main station in Potsdam to the hotel.
Any further advice is welcome. I appreciate it.
