Ideas for rainy days in Berlin with an 8 month old

Well, we are leaving on Thursday for Berlin and checking the forecast, it seems that we may have rain a majority of the time during our week%26#39;s stay. My husband will be at a conference there. Does anyone have suggestions for activities for myself and the baby? I had all my plans worked out, but I now need to factor in the rain. Thanks!

Rain? Berlin? seriously, though you%26#39;ll be very unlucky to get rain all the time. Assuming your 8 month old is fairly amenable there are countless museums, galleries and other indoor activities and it%26#39;s very easy to have a break half way through a visit so that you don%26#39;t overdo it or your child gets fed up. Places like the Pergamon, the Technic museum the National Gallery, communication museum , DDR museum,Sugar Museum and the museum complex at Dahlem are all worth visiting. Also check out what is on at the Martin Gropius Bau. Virtually every park has a play area and boat trips also available if the weather is good . There are lots of places to eat and drink where a small child will be welcome. The zoo may not be so good if it rains, but adjacent is the aquarium (entrance off Budapesterstr) (just as good as the Sealife Centre and cheaper) - great with small children. Looking at the webcam : http://www.dhm.de/webcams/VID2.html it doesn%26#39;t look so bad at the moment - cloudy but dry. Enjoy yourselves and don%26#39;t forget to visit a branch of %26#39;Janny%26#39;s ices%26#39; !

I recommend the new %26quot;LEGOLAND Discovery Center%26quot; at the Potsdamer Platz to you (Berlin Center).
