Hi,
my husband and I going to make a stop in Frankfurt for a day...any ideas on where to go? I%26#39;m looking for any touristic attractions or just something fun to do for a young couple.
Thanks

Hi,
nobody seems to answer, so I jump in. For an overview check

if you haven%26#39;t already done so. Frankfurt will keep you happy for a day, but not really for much longer. It has a vast variety of good museums, pick one or two if you are interested.
Fun things to do.....really depends on you idea of fun. Pub crawling in Alt-Sachsenhausen? A cocktail in %26quot;Main Tower%26quot; Bar above the city? Live music in a popular club?

There is so much to see for a day:
1) Porcellan museum in Höchst, then lunch on Höchst%26#39;s 1,000 years old medival market square. stroll the old castle and embankments afterwards
2) back into town visit Römer sq, the town hall, the 1,200 years old cathedral where the emperors of the holy Roman empire of German nations were crowned. then shopping on Zeil. End the day with a drink around the square in front of the old opera house.
3) next day start with a visit to the 2,000 years old roman border patrol castle in Bad Homburg, visit the private palace of the last German emperor%26#39;s wive, Augusta Victoria. It still looks like she just left it, and all is genuine. spend the afternoon in Hessenpark, a must-see attraction. Google for hessenpark.
