Dressing for concert at Cologne Philharmonic Hall

We have tickets to a classical music concert in Cologne in late May. What%26#39;s appropriate to wear for a man and woman? Do most men wear coat %26amp; tie?

There is no dress code. If it%26#39;s not a gala, premiere etc.,concert - opera and theatergoers usually dress as they please, even jeans are common. Mostly elderly men wear jackets and ties.
