Any suggestions on what I should buy besides wine/beer to bring back to the states?

When I give German gifts to Americans I like to give Viertels, 1/4 liter wine glasses with handles. The etched clear ones with green handles are nice and come in a variety of prices.
For beer, visit the brewery at Ummendorf by Biberach an der Riss in Baden-Wuerttemberg. Their premium beer is sold in three liter magnum bottles at a high price, and I doubt that you can find anything similar in the US or Germany. They make an excellent gift for special occasions. www.braeuhaus.de They also have a nice selection of their glasses and mugs (including a rare 2 liter one) and excellent chocolates with beer or beer liquor centers.
