We are staying in Fuessen and would like to go to the above sites. In which order should we see them? Is this too much for one day?

You can do this in one day. I would suggest leaving Fussen in time to arrive at the Linderhof fairly early. (Tours start around 9AM in the spring/summer, at 10AM in the fall/winter and there is an english tour about every 1/2 hour). The most attractive route would be to head south from Fussen to Reutte (B179), then follow the road east past the Plansee (St2060). Check a good map, the transition at Reutte may be a little tricky. B179 will go right past the entrance to the Linderhof. Probably about a 40 minute drive.
After touring the Linderhof, just continue east on the same road another few minutes to a %26quot;T%26quot; intersection with B23. Ettal Abbey is about two minutes south, Omerammergau is about the same north. Take your pick. Ettal Abbey is attractive and worth seeing, but primarily just to walk inside the beatiful church. It probably won%26#39;t take long. There are a couple of nice resturants across the street.
Oberammergau will take longer. You will want to get out and spend some time walking around town, seeing the painted houses (good brochure at the Information center), shopping, etc. It would probably be the best spot to have lunch (Try the Hotel Wolf). If you get hungry before, or did not have breakfast before leaving Fussen, there is also a great little conditori at the Linderhof ticket plaza.
Leaving Oberammergau or Ettal, just go North on B23 for 10 or 15 minutes until, just past Echelsbach, you come to St2059, which you take west in the direction of Wildsteig or Schwaig. (There will be a small sign indicating %26quot;Wieskirche%26quot; before the intersection). Take that road about 5 or 10 minutes, you will see another sign turning you south to the church (about 2 minutes further). The church is normally open from about 8Am to 7PM. After leaving the church and heading north, at the intersection with St 2059, turn left. About 5 minutes later, you will hit B17, follow it south back to Fussen.
You can, of course, do it in the reverse. It is really about a 100-120km loop (About 65-75 miles). It makes for a long, but not exhausting day.

Wow! Thank you so very very much! I am sure this is just what I needed!!

OOPs. Should have said St2060 goes past the Linderhof, not B179. !79 is the route that you take for 15km south of Fussen, where you intersect St2060 which you then take 21km east to Linderhof.

Don%26#39;t forget to stop in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and go up to the Zugspitze. It is a wonderful view and is the highest point in Germany (My profile photo is from up there.) It is a tad south of Oberammergua.
