Hi !
I know this is very short notice for any reply but keeping my fingers crossed as this is my last hope for some help....
My husband, infant daughter and i are planning a 2 week trip in Europe. We will be arriving in frankfurt on 6th June 2007 and then plan to go to Brussels directly from the airport. As i understand, there are trains from the airport to brussels. Could anyone provide me some more info on this?
Also would be travelling to bruges, amsterdam and paris... is there any train pass that we can purchase that would work out cheaper to travel across these destinations?

From: FRA airport
To: Bruxelles-Midi
There are specials from Frankfurt Hbf to Brussels from EUR 39,00.
You have however only 2,5 hrs left to book these specials.

The special is from Frankfurt Hbf (main railway station) to Brussels. Frankfurt Airport is the first stop on the route to Brussels. Thus just enter at Frankfurt Airport and don%26#39;t use the ticket for the first few kilometers.
Brussels - Paris
check with

Paris - Frankfurt
past 10. June I guess
Than you have the chance to get one of the introduction special for the opening on the new highspeed railroad on a part of this route.

I have a train schedule book from my town...there are probably more trains than what I am quoting you below. At least you%26#39;ll have an idea of times.
Frankfurt Flughafen (airport): 14:09
arrive Koln: 15:04 leave Koln: 15:14
arrive Brussels: 17:38
or
Frankfurt Flughafen (airport): 16:09
arrive Koln: 17:04 leave Koln: 17:14
arrive Brussels: 19:38
You can also go to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station, just a few minutes train ride from the airport) and then go direct to Brussels:
leave 7:29 from the main train station
arrive Brussels 11:01
or
leave 13:29 from the main train station
arrive Brussels at 17:01
I%26#39;m not familiar with the tourist passes.

%26gt; You can also go to the Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (main train station, just a few minutes train ride from the airport) and then go direct to Brussels:
All trains from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof to Brussels stop also at Frankfurt Airport. No need to travel to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof first. Wrong direction and big frustration when you will spot the %26quot;Frankfurt Airport%26quot; station signs again for the 2nd time.

Now it%26#39;s past midnight here in Germany.
Pre-sale period is 3 days for the Europe-Special tickets, i.e. over now for the 6th June 2007.

Thanks so much !!! You are guys are amazing !!!
Guess its already too late to book the special tickets from Frankfurt airport to Brussels... but since we are traveling paris-frankfurt after 10th June we can get the introduction special.
|||
also... we can book the train tickets to brussels on the spot at the frankfurt airport right?

Of course. If you have to run to the train you can even buy the tickets on the train itself - you just have to find the conductor before he finds you and you have to pay a small surcharge (maybe 3-4 Euro).
Of course the full price tickets will be more expensive than the Europa Spezial.
