To my knowledge this is exactly what you can%26#39;t do. This student agency bus has no public transport license in Germany. You can only use it from Prague to Munich (and return). The start point of your journey must however not be in Germany.
There are Eurolines buses from Munich to Prague.
www.eurolines.de
Train tickets are from EUR 29,00 (night train, seated).
http://www.citynightline.ch
EUR 37,70 for the 06:43 s)d), 10:44, 12:44, 14:44 and 16:44 d) train connections if you use the Bavaria Ticket
s) only Sa or Sa as the Bavaria Ticket is on weekdays valid past 9am only
d) direct trains
If you%26#39;re not travelling alone, the Bavaria Ticket will be an even better option (EUR 27,00 for 2-5 persons together).
EUR 59,00 for a return trip (Prague-Special offer).

i%26#39;m travelling from munich to prague as well. i%26#39;m rather confused however. does this mean that the bavaria ticket, which costs EUR22 can be used to travel from Munich to prague, directly? or will there be a transit we need to make in between?
any advice is much appreciated :)

No, only until the border. You need a ticket from the border town to Prague additionally.

There are direct trains, without changes, what do you mean? See www.bahn.de for schedules.

These are things not directly related.
The Bavaria Ticket is valid till the last station in Germany. For the direct trains this is %26quot;Furth im Wald%26quot;. From there you need normal p2p tickets to Prague (EUR 18,70 pp).
You can however buy all these tickets in Munich. And if you%26#39;re on a direct train you don%26#39;t have to transfer anywhere.
In case you travel on Sa or So there is another slightly cheaper option. If you plan to travel on Sa or So I can give you more details on this.
