How bad is the morning traffic in Munich? We will be driving from Hotel Torbrau to Neuschwanstein leaving about 7:00-7:30 am. I%26#39;m told that the drive to the castles is about 2 hours. Does that include getting out of the center or should we allow extra time for that? We%26#39;re trying to decide what time to reserve our tickets at the castles and we%26#39;re hoping to beat the rush.

Morning traffic in Münich can be very bad, but usually only in the other direction, so getting into town, not getting out of town. The only exeption from this %26quot;rule%26quot; are the cicular streets (Altstadtring and Mittlerer Ring) which you have to use.
Leave as early as possible to reduce the risk of traffic jams. If possible leave before 7am, then there won%26#39;t be serious problems.
