How to get to Nymphenburg Palace from Marienplatz?

Can anyone tell me the easiest way to get from Marienplatz to Nymphenburg Palace, and also advise the approximate travel time to/from and at the Palace?

Tram 17 from Karlsplatz, less than 20 min travel time.

Thank you for this information....Can you tell me, do we need to purchase tickets for the tram before boarding, and if so, where do we get the tickets?

In the trams there is usually a ticket machine in the middle.

There are also ticket machines at the stops - I recommend you to use those.

If you are not alone, buying a strip card or a minigroup day card will be more economical than single tickets. These are only available from the amchines in the tram and subway stops.

Thanks again.....this is very helpful...I will be sure to print your advice and bring it with us!

I would suggest to buy the tickets at Marienplatz downstairs. There is an information booth and also the ticket machines (Automaten). They have a special ticket which is good all day for one or more people. Ask at the info booth.

You can take the S-Bahn to Karlsplatz (Stachus), change to the Tram 17 there to Schloss Nymphenburg. Or take a walk from Marienplatz to Karlsplatz (approx. 10 minutes). It%26#39;s a street for pedestrians only.

Can someone tell me the easist way to get between Nymphenburg to Olympic Park. Thanks.

To go by public transportation from Schloss Nymphenburg to Olympicpark:

The easiest way to explain is: Take Tram 17 to Sendlinger-Tor-Platz and from there the Subway directly to the Olympicpark.

You might also check the website which %26quot;altamiro%26quot; mentioned in his email from May 30th.

Have Fun!

Thanks. I had printed out the Tram map the other day but the subway map is a little cluttered. I was able to go on the website this morning and print out the itinerary. Being able to sort through all of this before arrival will save us time. I am becoming quite the expert on using the dBahn and local transit websites. We are also traveling to Dusseldorf/Cologne, Bacharach, Wurzburg/Rothenburg, Stuttgart and Berlin as well as Munich so time is of a premium. Thanks.
