How far is the train station to the boat dock in Konstanz?

We are traveling to the Bodensee for three nights and staying in Lindau. We are planning a long day of taking the train to the Rheinfall and then taking the train back to Konstanz and taking the boat all the way back to Lindau. The train will arrive in Schaffhausen around 10:30am. The problem I have is that the train to Konstanz leaves Schaffhausen at 2:31pm and arrives at 3:33pm. The boat we would like to take back to Lindau leaves at 3:35pm. This is awfully close, unless the train station is right across from the boat dock. Does anyone know if the train and boat are close to each other? If it looks like we couldn%26#39;t make the boat then we will leave Schaffhausen at 1:31pm and only have three hours at the Rheinfall and get in to Konstanz an hour before the boat leaves. Is three hours enough at the Rheinfall?

Also, which is a better place to get off for the Rheinfall; Schaffhausen or Neuhausen? You take a bus from Schaffhausen or walk 15 minutes from Neuhausen.

Thank You so much for your help!

The best station is actually Schloss Laufen, which is directly above the waterfall.

Station is next to the harbour, but 2 minutes are really too close.
