Schonefeld to Potsdamer Platz

Does the train from Schonefeld airport stop at Potsdamer Platz?

If not what is the best way to get there?

My impression was that the trains from SXF don´t use the north-south line (on which the Potsdamer Platz station is), but better check.

It%26#39;s true, the SXF-trains use the circle line thru downtown Berlin. You have to change at %26quot;Friedrichstrasse%26quot;. If you don%26#39;t carry too much luggage the walk from Friedrichstrasse to Potsdamer Platz is around 20 minutes but you%26#39;re passing a lot of the major sights already, like %26quot;Unter den Linden%26quot;, the Volkswagen/Audi/Bugatti mega store (a sight to me), Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial.. and then you%26#39;re right at Potsdamer Platz.

Im staying in the Fjord Hotel so im thinking Potsdamer Platz is the closest stop???

Is there a station which is closer?

Potsdamer Platz may be the closest S-Bahn and train stations, but there are closer U-Bahn and bus stops.

Yes, there is a underground station which is closer. Looking at the street map Mendelson-Bartholdy-Park on the U2 seems to be the closest. From there it should take you only a few minutes to the hotel.

I think the best option is to take the airport express to Alexanderplatz and change into the U2 towards Ruhleben/Theodor-Heuss-Platz and get off at Mendelson-Bartholdy-Park

Thanks for everyone%26#39;s help, but as it happens I am now staying at the Park Inn Alexanderplatz.

As I have mentioned on another thread, does anyone know of any bars with Sky Sports in that area?
