Munich to Bavarian Alps

What is the best way to go to the Bavarian Alps, how much does it cost and approximately how long will the journey take? I do not wish to drive, hence I%26#39;m looking either at train or bus.

You can use for all these trips the Bavaria Ticket. A day ticket covering all local trains in Bavaria. And most other local public transport, e.g. the regional buses by RVA and RVO in the Bavarian Alps. And the U-Bahn, trams and buses in Munich.

Mo-Fr: 9am till 3am next day



Sa,So: midnight till 3am next day



Bavaria Ticket Single (1 person) EUR 19,00



Bavaria Ticket (2-5 persons) EUR 27,00

Just to add to the previous post...



Mittenwald, Germany! One of the prettiest villages/towns in Bavaria. Also very easy 5 tom 10 minute walk from train station to the pedestrian zone.
