i am organising a weekend to berlin in june and am staying in mitte with 15 other guys.trying to keep everybody happy is proving an impossibility,so would anybody have any suggestions about killing a few hours in the afternoon,mainly to keep us all out of the bars.most would like to sight see but some lard arses would rather not.we are staying in mitte so any recommendations of restaurants and hardcore ear bleeding techno clubs would be massively appreciated.

15 other guys is 30 other opinions (everybody changes his mind at least once...), and going to eat would be HELL - one would say that he%26#39;s vegetarian, the other that he wants a bleeding steak place. nO getting away from it.

My suggestion: go to Hackescher Markt and walk through the zards. It is sort of a site but not really %26quot;boring-historical-I-can%26#39;t-drink-while-walking-through-it%26quot; type.

Similar option:

- Take the train to Warschauer Strasse

- start to walk alongside the East Side Gallery (yes, it is a site, lardass, but hang on)

- at the end of East Side Gallery, you%26#39;ll find the Yaam (near Ostbahnhof train station, if you%26#39;re not up to walking the mile or so of the East Side Gallery). Yaam is a beach bar (well, bank anyways, it is on the banks of the Spree River) with cool music.

You can also try to see if there%26#39;s a street fair at the same time (good chance in Berlin in the summer).

you also could do a trabi safari, it%26#39;s a bit of sightseeing and a bit of fun.
