luge and Castles

Is it possible to do both castles and the luge all in one day?

How late does the train run?

If this is crazy please let me know.

I won%26#39;t be a lot of help but this is from my experience: when you get to Fussen, you can get tickets to one or both castles and THEY tell you what time your tour will be. Depending on the # of tourists, I figured that is kind of the luck of the draw as to what time yours will be. They have separate tours in German %26amp; in English and possibly headphones in other languages. Not sure about this. If you don%26#39;t want a tour of the interior, you can walk up on your own. I seem to remember that the tours are about an hour each and then people usually spend time exploring the exterior.

I have never done the Luge, but hope to this summer however, we won%26#39;t be attempting all in one day. We hope to see Hohenschwangau late in the afternoon, and then Neuschwanstein early the next AM leaving the PM free for luge etc. Train to Munich is frequent and is about 2 hrs. long.

DB timetable

http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/e

From: Munich

To: Fuessen

To: Hohenschwangau (bus stop for both castles, ticket centre)

To: Tegelbergbahn (bus stop for the luge)

Last train

Füssen dep 22:22

Munich arr 00:39

The problematic %26quot;which tours%26quot; addressed by the previous posters can be avoided when reserving tickets online.

The castles and also the luge will close long before the last train.

Dumb question - but where is the Hohenschwangau bus station? We are staying at the Hotel Muller. Is this walking distance?
