Inexpensive Hotels in Mitte?

I am certain this question has been asked to some degree before, and I will go back through archived postings and look around, but for those with broad experience of lodging in Berlin, forgive me for asking:

I plan to go to Berlin in October.

Hey there,

if you want to have a good, but cheap %26quot;hotel%26quot; there are some locations you could have a look for.

They are called %26quot;Pension%26quot; or %26quot;Gästehaus%26quot;.

Some good locations to search for inexpensive pensionen you can find here: deutsche-pensionen.de/pension-berlin/verzeic…

or this one:

Got your tips. Thank you. Sorry for the long delay in responding: big computer troubles. But much appreciated, really.

Check out Agon Frankfurter Allee. It%26#39;s listed, I beliive, on Travelocity, Expedia and Orbitz. I stayed 6 nights xmas 2006 and it was relatively inexpensive and very clean, with a good breakfast included. Also, my teenage son was with me and that was fine.

This is an up and coming area in Berlin.
