Berlin help needed. Your advice please !!

My wife and I will be in Berlin for a conference next week, then depart to Venice for a couple of days. On the return trip, we fly through Berlin again, landing at Schoenfeld, then departing from Tegel the next morning. We need to find a place to stay that is convenient to Tegel airport. Any suggestions are most appreciated. thanks

There are two express buses to Tegel airport. They run every 10 minutes.

bus TXL from Alexanderplatz (station)

bus X9 from Zoo(logischer Garten) station

Alexanderplatz/Zoo are also areas with many hotels. And both can be reached by direct trains from Schönefeld.

The hotel closest to the airport is Mercure Hotel Berlin Tegel Airport (not to be confused with Mercure Hotel Berlin Tegel Airport OST!): tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g187323-d199376…

Very convenient location for checking-in the next morning, but in the middle of nowhere between the Autobahn and the airport.

Depending on time of flight and whether you want to stay actually at the airport....

Or, if you want somewhere right by a bus-stop on on the TXL bus route or a short and cheap taxi ride (under 15€) I can recommend Hotel Tiergarten on Alt-Moabit. Independent hotel with friendly staff and the most incredible breakfast buffet included in the price.

. Near German Interior Ministry and a shortish walk (along the riverbank in part) from Bellevue S-Bahn station which is stop on line from Schönefeld to Spandau.

Turmstrasse U-Bahn is even nearer if you want to go to Zoologischer Garten for Ku-Damm/Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church area, if you want to explore a bit.

Or TXL bus wd take you to Unter den Linden and Alexanderplatz if you have time/inclination for that once you%26#39;ve dropped your luggage though S-Bahn ride from Bellevue to Alexanderplatz is better for panoramic sightseeing (and better in that direction).
