I am trying to learn the train system in Germany and feel overwhelmed. Does anyone know if I need to buy a Bavaria rail pass or if this will be covered by my Global Eurrail pass. I want to travel to Neuschwanstein and am unsure of the best way to get there .

Bavaria Ticket covers local trains and other local public transport (e.g. the buses from Füssen to Hohenschwangau, or the U-Bahn, trams and buses in Munich).
An Eurail Pass covers far distance trains and local trains.
Thus with both passes you can travel from Munich to Füssen, a route which is served by local trains only.
If you have a consecutive Eurail pass, use it for the trains and pay the bus extra.
With a Selectpass it looks different. Bavaria Ticket will be cheaper than a pass day.

The bus stop (H) is next to the Ticket Center.

Yes, you can use the Bayern-Ticket to travel from Munich to Hohenschwangau. From a ticket machine, a single ticket costs 19 € and a group [up to 5 travelers] ticket costs 27 €. The ticket is valid on IR, RE or RB tains after 09:00 on weekdays and anytime on weekends.

Using this ticket would be cheaper than using one of the days of your rail pass.

If I have the 15 day global pass then my rail pass will be used each day no matter what. So I could ride to Hohenschwangau with the rail pass and not have to buy Bayern-Ticket?
Thanks in advance.

You could ride to Füssen.
The bus for the few kilometers from Füssen station to Hohenschwangau is not covered by a rail pass. But as this is short distance also not expensive.
