Frequently-asked Question

Apologies for repeating a frequently-asked question but I%26#39;m finding previous posts sometimes contradictory and perhaps out-of-date. I%26#39;m looking for 3-4 nights accommmodation beginning of September somewhere central or within 10 minutes walking or by public transport; price about 80-90 euros per night for a double room.

Thank you for any recommendations!

My recommendation is the Torbräu Hotel %26quot;www.torbraeu.de%26quot; as it is a very nice and clean (old though) hotel in the heart of downtown Munich with public transport just outside the door. Deutsches Museum, Marienplatz, Englischer Garten, Maximiliansstrasse are all within walking distance.

I%26#39;d agree with Andreas, but in case that turns out to be too expensive for your budget try Blauer Bock.

It%26#39;s also in a great location (probably better) on the other side of Viktualienmarkt. Basic but very clean, good value and good buffet breakfast.

Or try the small, privately owned Hotel Brecherspitze = approx. Euro 77. --.www.brecherspitze.com

By Tram approx. 15 minutes to the center.

Good Luck!

Thank you all for these suggestions. As the Blauer Bock was full I have booked Hotel Eder and will report further on my return.
