Berlin Marathon in September - Anyone Recommend Hotels??

Hi

My girlfriend and I are doing the Berlin Marathon on 30th September 2007 and I am looking for a hotel near to the starting/finishing line which is near the Brandenburg Gate. Can anyone recommend a good hotel near to this location which isn%26#39;t too expensive?

Any help would be really appreciated!

We are going to Berlin 25th -27th september I think that just before the Marathon. we are staying in the BEST WESTERN BERLIN MITTE its only opening in jUNE.

iThe prices dont seem to bad on a few sites . The location seems quite central .

I can%26#39;t reall recommend a hotel, only areas. Mitte and Charlottenburg (preferably near an S-Bahnstation or the Zoo station) are good areas to stay for the marathon. Depending from where you stay in Mitte you might be able to walk. From Charlottenburg you get there by S-Bahn (only a few stops), getting off at Hauptbahnhof from where you can walk in a few minutes to the changing/starting area.
