Looking for a great Brewery tour near Darmstadt? Try the one at the Pfungstaedter Brewery in Pfungstadt. They provide a movie in English about the beer making process (20 mins) then you get a tour of the brewery (that%26#39;s only in German) and then about an hour or more of beer tasting (!) They provide you also with a wurst and roll, and pretzels for the table. And as much beer as you can drink in about an hour/hour and a half. Before you leave, you get a souvenir. We got these really cool beer glasses....
I went with some friends and had a great time. You need to reserve your place ahead of time and they want payment ahead of time too, but maybe you could work something out. The phone number to call is 49 6157 802141. The receptionist speaks only German as far as I know, but I could be wrong. The cost is 5 Euro per person and the tour and beer drinking last 3 hours. It was a great time and I recommend it to others!

Thank you, great post. It%26#39;s one of the lesser known beer brands in Frankfurt but it actually tastes f****** great, especially the lager type one (lite or gold or whatever they call it).
You can have a similar experience in Schwetzingen at the Weldebräu brewery and beer garden. Plus Schwetzingen is worth the trip for their castle and gardens alone ;-)
